Calling all Michigan Restaurants, Wineries and Breweries! Tapas, Toasts & Tunes, Celebrating Michigan’s finest in food, drink and music on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 6-9 pm. We would like to invite your business to participate in this exciting new event! Tapas, Toasts & Tunes will be an evening of Michigan-only offerings; we are asking each restaurant to develop a tapas-style (small plate) menu item, using Michigan grown/produced products, which you are willing to donate. We also ask that you be available to serve your fabulous creations. The tapas will be served with Michigan-produced beer and wine. To ensure quality and ambiance, we are only selling 250 tickets for this event. As a generous sponsor of this event, you will receive: logo recognition at event, in our newsletter and website, as well as recognition in our program guide and all other advertising which may include posters, print ads, television, radio and Internet. You will receive a thank you letter to serve as a donation receipt for the tax-deductible dollar amount of goods and services (set by you) that you provide. You can also take pride in creating awareness of the accessibility to locally produced ingredients, as well as consumers’ ability to grow our state’s economy by supporting Michigan-made products. The Fragile X Association of Michigan is the host organization for the 12th International Fragile X Conference, bringing more than 700 leading researchers, therapists, educators and families from all over the world to Dearborn, Michigan, July 21-25, 2010. We would like to showcase the best of Michigan and are looking for product and service donations for our raffle/silent/live auction. On September 12 we are holding our 11th annual Family Celebration Picnic celebrating families formed by adoption. We need donations of items/coupons for goodie bags for the families and also food to serve. Our thought was to make this year a Celebrating Families in Michigan theme and would like Michigan product donations. If freebies or coupons could be donated for the goodie bags that would be great also. Approximately 80-100 families are expected. Thank you for considering our request.

We're a nonprofit that has a few missions: We want to connect and support families who are affected by congenital heart defects with support groups, comfort bags during their hospital stays and legacy boxes when a child dies. We also want to raise awareness that CHDs are the No. 1 birth defect, affecting about 1 in 100 live births, and that CHDs kill more children each year than all forms of pediatric cancer combined. We could use donations of items for our comfort bags that go to families whose children are undergoing heart procedures at the two local Children's Hospitals. Those items include notebooks, pens, snacks, bottle water, coloring or activity books for kids, crayons, crossword puzzle books for parents, small or medium new stuff animals for kids, and mints.

Gift of Life Michigan coordinates organ and tissue donations for the state. Michigan currently ranks #42 in the nation for the number of people who have signed up on the state organ donor registry. We need 1 million people to sign up in 2010, just to meet the national average. We are looking for Michigan companies to help us save lives by educating employees, customers, vendors and the community about the Michigan Organ Donor Registry. If you signed the back of your license, you're not signed up. When you sign up (http://www.giftoflifemichigan.org), the Secretary of State will provide a red heart donor sticker for the front of your license/ID. We have a FREE program for workplaces to help save lives. We provide brochures, giveaways, sample messages, etc. We also have web banners and buttons for your public website. There are lots of ways to help - contact us for details!

We are looking for used PC's or donations for new PC's to help Michigan people. About 30% still do not have this resource, especially in rural areas. Many Habitat groups build homes but don't equip the homes with PC's. (There is a current need in Traverse City.) Help transform Michigan faster, and get everyone a PC and new skills.

We are holding the Worlds Largest Euchre Tournament! We will be verified by a source we all know, but cannot say yet! We are looking for sponsors for the event. Sponsors can help financially and/or offer something to be given away or raffled off. The purpose of the event is to raise money to help give back to our community during the times we are going through. Your support and considerstion are greatly appreciated!!!

Heritage Park is the concept for a comprehensive community recreational, cultural, and educational facility with a central focus on Michigan’s history and heritage. The grounds of the park will be laid out in the shape of our great state with water features in the areas where the great lakes are. We are a semi-professional British Style Brass Band bringing to Southeast Michigan great brass band music. We have need for corporate or individual endorsements/contributions to help this group to continue providing this music style. In the long term we are planning on starting a junior brass band to teach and promote youth activity in music which requires the acquisition of brass instruments, percussion equipment and also providing instructors. THE DANCE CAPITAL is a new nonprofit arts foundation dedicated to fighting childhood obesity in at-risk youth. Our "Dance to a Healthy Beat" program focuses on education of the health benefits of dance and other physical activity, as well as proper eating habits. Our programs run from September to June each year with two summer sessions. Courses are open to children ages 3 and higher, and we have an adult curriculum, as well. Our classes take place in public and private school settings, after-school settings, and in our formal studio setting. THE DANCE CAPITAL is currently in need of the following items for its "Dance to a Healthy Beat" program: Dancewear in any size (Ballet and tap shoes, leotards, tights, etc.), gymnastics mats and any exercise equipment. We are also in need of studio equipment including: large mirrors and flooring; as well as office equipment including: computers, two desks and two chairs. We appreciate all donations and in-kind gifts to help further our mission to combat childhood obesity.

The Legacy Buy A- Brick for the Village of Hope Project The Village of Hope project builds small three bedroom ranches in 53 African villages to support poor families who in turn support orphaned children. Each community will contain 100 houses. In addition, these sustainable communities will contain an Educational Center, Health Clinic, Industrial Center, Community Center and Community Gardens. Micro financing provides the residents money to start cottage industries. Boreholes supply water to the village. We also serve the homeless in Michigan. Arts & Scraps uses recycled materials to help people of all ages and abilities think, create and learn. Needs: -materials businesses are throwing away--cuttings, samples, overruns, errors; anything SAFE and interesting for children. Smaller is better than larger, color is a bonus. We pick up materials within the Detroit Metro area, others can deliver or mail to us. Camp Casey is a horseback riding program for children with cancer and their families. We have three divisions: retreats (where families take a mini vacation and utilize the therapeutic effects of horses), outreach (where kids and families enjoy seasonal activities like pumpkin patches, apple orchards, ice skating, etc.) and horsey house calls (where we bring a horse to the home of a kid too sick to attend a retreat). For our Horsey House Call program, we are looking for goodies to enhance the surprise. We like to shower the kid and his/her siblings with gifts so that the day feels extra special. We're especially in need of arts and crafts supplies, stuffed animals, board games, kid-friendly DVDs, hats and mittens for cold visits, and anything else that a child would like. Stepeze Inc. is launching an exciting, multicultural Drill Team and Dance Troop. These talented, energetic kids are EXCITED about this unique opportunity to be trained to become productive members of society and have a blast doing it. The program is FREE for these at-risk kids!!! The City of Pontiac has NOTHING to offer them creating a danger of getting into negative activites after school, so we need support. Stepeze has a proven program, and plans to build it up over the school year and launch our First Day-Camp Drill Team & Dance Troop Camp in summer 2009.
