We are hosting a Back-to-School Health Fair for at-risk youth in Detroit on September 6, and are looking for any health or nutritional items for our youth. ABOUT THE EVENT: The 2008 Detroit Healthy Kids Back-to-School Expo is a citywide annual event that is designed to educate minority youth about living healthy lifestyles through physical activity and nutrition. Youth will participate in a day of interactive activities and engage in a variety of fun, entertaining, and educational series of 8 stations, rotating every 20 minutes. Stations include yoga, healthy food preparation, nutritional education activities, exercise techniques, diet assessments, educational health related games, and health screenings ABOUT US: Kids Power Play Sports was established to address the special nutritional needs affecting today\'s youth by empowering them to live healthy lives, and educating them about the importance of proper nutrition and physical activity. By promoting mental, spiritual, and physical health, it is our mission to encourage youth to adopt healthy lifestyles, while preventing health related issues such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
