


If your kids are staying home this summer, consider a vacation that will pay off for years to come. Send them to a camp that teaches basic money principles and financial management in a fun and interactive way.
That's right, a camp about managing money! There are many lessons to be learned from our nation's recent economic crisis. Certainly one of those has to be that we have under-valued the importance of educating ourselves and subsequent generations on how to earn, spend, and save money. One of the ways we can help brighten Michigan's economic future is to ensure that our children are well-equipped to tackle these questions, and sending them to a focused learning opportunity like Camp Millionaire is a great start.
The Moneywise Life, out of Keego Harbor will be offering sessions of Camp Millionaire in a variety of locations around southeastern Michigan throughout the summer. There will even be a Camp Millionaire running in Northville during the town's Buy Michigan Now Festival July 27-July 31, 2009. The camps are designed for boys and girls in grades 5-8 (ages 10-13). Camps run for five consecutive days from 9AM-3PM. The sessions are interactive and fun, combining a variety of teaching techniques to appeal to auditory (listeners), visual (observers), and kinesthetic (doers) learning styles.
