Are You Making the Most of Your Listing?

The Michigan Blue Pages is the most popular feature on our site, and the number of organizations listed grows on a daily basis.  That's why we want to make sure our listers are making the most of this fantastic marketing opportunity.  Here are some tips and important changes to consider.

Because of these increasingly challenging times, we have just lowered many prices to make it more affordable to maximize your exposure.  For starters, the Standard listing, formerly $100, is now available for only $75 a year!  The advantages over a free Basic listing include: an active link to your website, 15 more words for the description, ten keywords, and priority ranking in search results ahead of Basic listings.  The active website link also helps with the search engine optimization of your website, making it easier for search engines to find and prioritize your site.

Based on requests from our visitors, we have added many new categories.  It may be time to look and see if there is a new category better suited to your listing or to be included in an additional category.  We have now made additional categories available to Basic listers for only $50 per category and have lowered the price of a second category to only $25 for those with a sponsored listing package!

Visitors may search by keyword.  Every listing includes a minimum of 10 words for the description and these words are accessed during a keyword search.  Be sure that your description includes words that enhance the likelihood that your listings will come up during keyword searches for the products or services you offer. 

Standard, Enhanced, and Premiere listing packages also include additional keywords.  These words are not visible in your listing so it is a good place to put common misspellings of your company name, alternative terms for your products and services or any words that users looking for your services might submit during a search. 

Visitors may also search by zip code, so if you have multiple locations, it helps a lot to list each.  Prices on additional locations have also just been lowered and are available with sponsored listings.  With a Standard listing package, additional locations are $50, $25 with an Enhanced listing, and only $10 with a Premiere listing.  It makes sense to factor that in when determining which listing package is best for you.
