10:00 AM - 11:00 AM  Stone Cutting Demonstrations with Roger Dery

Have you ever seen a gemstone being polished? Well, this is your opportunity to see something extraordinary. Orin Jewelers will be hosting stone cutting demonstrations with Michigan’s own Roger Dery who is Michigan's only International Award Winning stone gemstone cutter. The store will also be choosing two individuals to cut a gemstone under Roger’s direction at the 10 AM and 3 PM sessions. People can register to win the stone-cutting opportunity starting Friday, July 24 at Orin Jewelers.  Throughout the week, guests attending the Buy Michigan Now Festival will also have the opportunity to view and purchase a selection of his gemstones on display at Orin Jewelers. Petoskey stone jewelry (the Michigan Stone) will also be on display and for sale. (Orin Jewelers-101 E. Main)

Vendors and exhibitors will be on hand to promote Michigan products and services that are geared toward consumers as well as organizations. All businesses included are Michigan-based companies. (Throughout Downtown Northville)

Noon – 5:00 PM  Mill Race Village Historical Tours and Festivities

The history of Northville, Michigan, is alive at the Mill Race Historical Village. Created in 1972 by the Northville Historical Society, the village serves as a focal point for the Northville Community while preserving architectural styles common to the area prior to 1900.  A living museum, the village is part of a park built on 12.5 acres of land donated to the City of Northville by the Ford Motor Company. Once the site of a grist mill, the village consists of an inn, blacksmith shop, school, church, gazebo, rustic wooden bridge, Interurban station and several homes reminiscent of an era gone by. Costumed docents will be on hand and walk you through the Victorian experience of yester-year. Picnics are welcome on the grounds. (Mill Race Village)
